Author Guidelines

Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript through the online Editorial System.

In order to send it according to the requirements and publishing rules, you can simply register as a new user or log in directly if you have already registered. You can also use a  template for publication in the journal, also you can send the article using the Email: ijser@aliraqia.edu.iq

Regardless of the source of the word-processing tool, only standard template Word (.doc, .docx, .rtf) files can be submitted through the System. Only online submissions are accepted to facilitate rapid publication and minimize administrative costs. Submissions by anyone other than one of the authors will not be accepted. The submitting author takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review. If for some technical reason submission through the System is not possible, the author can contact to Editorial Office for support.

Terms of Submission
Papers must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another journal published by any other publisher. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other coauthors. It is also the authors' responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated. It is a condition of submission of a paper that the authors permit editing of the paper for readability.

Only one publication of the same Author or team of Authors may be included in one issue of a journal. In case of submitting several publications at once – all will be rejected immediately. The next publication of the Author(s) should be submitted no sooner than after the previous one was finalized, with the condition that they cannot be placed in two subsequent issues. We also do not include the publication as subsequent parts.

The journal publishes the original research or review papers.
We do not accept for publication questionnaire-based research or surveys analysis as well.
Studies based on the published results of global or local annual reports are also not taken into consideration.

(Turnitin) service
After the submission of your paper, we check the (Turn it in) similarity test for a plagiarism detection. The overall similarity (Similarity Index) must not exceeds the limit 20%. Otherwise, the paper will be directly rejected by the editor and no other chance will be given to the author(s) to re-submit it.

The Content of the Article
The paper should be prepared according to the following order:

  • Title
  • Full author name (Name and Surname, not initials)
  • Affiliation (full institutional mailing address – eg. Department, University, Street, Postal Code, City, Country and Email)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • The main text
  • Acknowledgements
  • References

The volume of the article (including tables and illustrations) should be in the range of 6 – 15 standard pages A4. Placing longer publication requires approval by the Editors, and pay an additional fee.
Title should be informative, but concise.
Nomenclature is not needed – all explanations should be placed in the text.
The text body should not be formatted, for example, splitting in columns, adding headers and footers is forbidden.
In one issue of the journal can be published only one publication the Author or team of Authors.

Peer Review
All manuscripts are subject to peer review and are expected to meet standards of academic excellence. Submissions will be considered by an editor and “if not rejected right away” by peer-reviewers, whose identities will remain anonymous to the authors.

Units of Measurement
Units of measurement should be presented simply and concisely using System International (SI) units.

Abstract
The manuscript should contain an abstract. The abstract should be self-contained and citation-free.
Abstract posted on the website as a separate work and should contain all the essential information about paper: goals, the material and methodology, main results and conclusions.

Acknowledgments
All acknowledgments (if any) should be included at the very end of the paper before the references and may include supporting grants, presentations, and so forth.

References
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate. References list should contain the newest positions (last 10 years). All references must be in alphabetical order and numbered consecutively. Two or more articles in the same year and by the same author(s) should be indicated by the letters: a, b, c. Multiple citations should be avoided – a maximum of 2-3 citations by the same author are acceptable.

IJSER referencing follow IEEE style. IEEE style is a numbered referencing style that uses citation numbers in the text of the paper, provided in square brackets. A full corresponding reference is listed at the end of the paper, next to the respective citation number. The IEEE Style draws on the IEEE Editorial Style Manual, version 9 published in 2016.

Preparation of Figures
Each figure should be supplied in a separate electronic file in bitmap formats (TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.). Bitmap images should be of 300 dpi resolution. We prefer colored images instead of black and white.
All figures must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the manuscript (e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2). In multi-part figures, each part should be labelled (e.g. Figure 1a, Figure 1b).
Figure captions must be saved as part of the complete text of the manuscript.
All explanations should be given in the figure caption.

Preparation of Tables
Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading.
Table captions must be included in the text of the manuscript.

Equations
Equations should be numbered serially on the right-hand side in parentheses. Capitalize and abbreviate ‘equation’ when it is used with a number Eq. (1). Spell out when it begins a sentence. Symbols for physical quantities in formulae and in the text should be in italics. Algebraic symbols are printed in upright type.

Proofs
Corrected proofs must be returned to the publisher within 2-3 days of receipt. The publisher will do everything possible to ensure prompt publication. It will therefore be appreciated if the manuscripts and figures conform from the outset to the style of the journal.
